Running Clothes and Apparel

Fractel's running clothes cover the essentials for road, trail and everyday training: tees, singlets and outer layers in breathable, quick-dry fabric.

Breathable Fabric for Changing Conditions

Most of the range uses REPREVE, recycled polyester that cuts down on waste without giving up performance. Lighter mesh fabrics handle the warm-weather pieces, and heavier outer layers step in once the weather turns. Lightweight singlets cover the sessions where minimal coverage matters most.

FAQs

Do I need special running clothes, or will gym gear work?

For a short, easy run, whatever's comfortable is fine. Once runs get longer, cotton works against you. It absorbs sweat, gets heavy and can chafe. Running-specific fabric avoids all three.

What's actually different about running clothes versus regular activewear?

It comes down to the fabric and the construction. Moisture-wicking yarns, seams placed away from high-friction areas, and genuine quick-dry performance, not just a claim on the label.

Is Fractel gear made only for running, or can I wear it every day too?

Both. We design it first for performance, but the fits and fabrics hold up just as well off the run, so there's no need for a separate 'training only' wardrobe.

Should running clothes fit loose or snug?

It depends on the piece more than a single rule. Tops usually work best with a close, not tight, fit so fabric doesn't flap and cause chafing. Shorts and tights come down to comfort and your own preference, both loose and snug styles perform fine as long as the fabric is technical.
